The Administrative Services Division is responsible for processing and maintaining all records generated by the Lamar County Sheriff's Office. Records may be obtained in person at the Sheriff's Office at 121 Roberta Drive, Barnesville, Georgia. Minimal fees may apply and are required to be paid in full before acquiring the records. Personnel are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM to assist with obtaining incident reports, accident reports and other records. Please allow at least 3 business days (or 72 hours) from the date the report was filed before a request for a copy of the report is made.
Accident reports are available online at www.buycrash.com. Incident reports are not currently available online.
To request a report by mail, send $3.00 (cashiers check or money order payable to the Lamar County Sheriff's Office) along with the case number, your name and a self addressed stamped envelope to:

Beginning March 15, 2010 Lamar County Sheriff's Office has implemented the Georgia Electronic Accident Reporting System (GEARS). The Georgia Department of Transportation has contracted to provide the software free of charge to law enforcement agencies. This will allow reports to be completed more accurately and in less time than handwritten reports as well as give the ability to transmit crash reports to the State electronically. Additionally, crash reports can now be obtained by involved parties for a minimal fee online at www.buycrash.com. Reports will also be available for pick up at the Sheriff's Office as always.
On May 12, 2010 Governor Perdue signed into law HB1055.Section 1-43 of this legislation provided for an increase to the fees for services provided by Georgia Sheriffs. The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office effected the change in fees collected on May 17, 2010. Please see the updated schedule of fees to ensure correct payments are remitted for services.
