The Lamar County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency providing all aspects of law enforcement, to include criminal and juvenile complaint investigations, illegal drug and traffic enforcement, warrant/civil services, court security, prisoner transport, dispatch/E-911 operations, jail operations, and witness/victim assistance.

The Lamar County Sheriff's Office has a total of 57 full time employees, 11 part-time employees, and 7 officers in the Sheriff's Reserve.
